This Privacy Policy explains how Cafe Meria, LLC (“Cafe Meria,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you order from us online at cafemeria.com, in person, or when you receive text messages from us. By using our website or providing your information, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Your name and order details when you place an order.
- Your email address and mobile phone number, when you choose to provide them for order confirmations and order-ready notifications.
- Payment is processed securely by our payment provider (Square). We do not store your full card number.
- Basic technical and usage data (such as device and browser information) to operate and improve the site.
How we use your information
- To prepare, fulfill, and hand off your order.
- To send you transactional messages about your order — for example, an order confirmation and a notification by email and/or text when your order is ready for pickup.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
SMS / text message notifications
If you provide your mobile phone number when placing an order, you consent to receive a text message from Cafe Meria letting you know when your order is ready for pickup. These are transactional, order-related messages — we do not send marketing or promotional texts through this program.
- Message frequency: approximately one message per order.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt out anytime: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate — for example, our payment processor (Square), our email provider, and our SMS provider (Twilio) — and only as needed to deliver the services you requested, or where required by law. As stated above, mobile opt-in information is never shared for marketing purposes.
Data retention & security
We keep your information only as long as needed to fulfill your order, meet legal and accounting obligations, and operate our business, and we use reasonable measures to protect it.
Your choices
You can opt out of order-ready texts at any time by replying STOP. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
