Açaí bowls

Our own açaí. Our own granola.

Last updated

The açaí bowl at Cafe Meria, at 101 Mason St in downtown Charlevoix, Michigan, starts with our own blend: organic açaí, berries, fruit and banana, blended with just water, with no added sugar and no juice. It is topped with fresh fruit and granola we make in house.

What is in the bowl?

The açaí blend
200 g of pure organic açaí, blended with mixed berries, fruit and banana and just water. No added sugar, no juice.
House granola
Sprouted granola we make ourselves.
Fresh fruit
Banana, strawberries and blueberries.
To finish
Toasted coconut and a drizzle of raw honey. Vegan without the honey.

Where does the açaí come from?

From Amafruits, whose açaí is USDA organic and harvested in the wild in the rainforests of Brazil. We blend it ourselves rather than buying a sweetened base, so the bowl tastes like açaí and fruit.

Why make our own granola?

Because we could not find a store-bought granola clean enough to put on it. The same granola goes on our Greek yogurt bowl.
